my life is a Jekyll load screen
I like the "smol web", people who are self-hosting their sites/blogs, doing their own thing online. A lot of the personal (and some themed) blogs use Jekyll software, though (which is made by Github), and nearly every time I visit one of these blogs, I am hit with long load times.
Anything from WordPress, to Blogger, to Ghost, to Blot, to everything else, I wait nary a fraction of a second, and the blog/site loads up and I am off to reading. Not with Jekyll, though. The initial page and pages within those blogs always have me hanging for several seconds.
I still read a bunch of them, and will continue. Just wish Jekyll were faster or people used something else, is all.
