mqa-ing-nirvana

So last night I upgraded my tier on Tidal, and now it is Hi-Fi Plus, which is MQA-ready (Master Quality Audio, which is supposed to matter when it comes to bitrate and all this BS, but a lot of it is audiophile hot air, but I am fooling with it nonetheless).nnSo, I plugged in the HELM Bolt amp/DAC to my phone (because the device doesn’t work very well with Mac software(?)), and have the streaming setting on Tidal (on the phone) set to “MQA”, and now the magenta colored light on the HELM is lit up, indicating that I *am* listening to some “real shit”, LOL!nnThe music sounds good, though. Because it is Nirvana, but sonically it is ok, too. nnthe end to this post 😛
