I am making this list, because I do not feel like making the playlist right now...
A list of songs with the best lyricism (the way the words intermingle/interplay together, bringing a more melancholic and overall beauty to the song (which is usually already very beautiful)):
The Wallflowers - "One Headlight"
Sixpence None The Richer - "Kiss Me"
Soundgarden - "The Day I Tried To Live"
Soundgarden - "Black Hole Sun" (Soundgarden gets two, because both of those songs are over-the-top with their lyrical quality)
Leftover Crack - "Bedbugs and Beyond" (if you can manage to make out the lyrics, they are brilliantly written)
So there's a Top 5, as I would have to sit and do some genuine research to find a lot of songs with amazing lyricism.
Also, sidenote: the song "American Girl" by Tom Petty is an enigma. The way the song plays and the lyrics match up - it's like it is not supposed to "work", but holy shit it does!
